El' presidente left for vacation last week. I took the promotion (of course, I promoted myself straight to President) as a chance to implement a few new rules around here.
1. Lunch is extended to one hour as long as you run at least (1) company related errand during it. This includes but is not limited to: going to the post office, picking up the computer (it was sick), picking up the paychecks, and getting permits from the City.
2. There should be at least a dozen of Great American Donut Shop donuts on the break room table each morning. Two chocolate covered glazed donuts need to be set back for me.
3. Good Friday- to work or not to work? Not to work. Yep, pretty proud of myself about that one.
4. Inclimate weather loophole- If a storm is approaching (according to WBKO 13, of course) you are allowed to leave no more than 10 minutes early to try to beat it out.
5. If the phone rings and it is someone you've already talked to and don't want to talk to again, you are allowed to let it go to voicemail. You must check the voicemail and make sure the call is not an emergency. If it a message intended for el' presidente, let him take care of it when he gets home from the tropical island he's holed up on.
Baby Watch 2009 Update- BFF went into labor on Thursday April 2nd. She gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Aunt is in labor as we speak. Good times.
Promoted to President- Yep, you read it right. I took my money and ran.
