Alternately titled- What a Woman Wants
Listen up men. I am going to make this easy on you. Here are a few suggestions to help make your Anniversary special for your lady. Ladies, feel free to print off this list and hang it on the refrigerator.
1. In most cases the woman planned the entire wedding, that means the man gets to plan the anniversary. So man up and do it. Dinner and a movie are acceptable. If you have anything that you both like doing, such as going to a sporting event or bowling that is also acceptable. But remember you both must like the event. Do NOT take your wife to the Demolition Derby if it isn't her "thing."
2. If you wife dyes her hair to get rid of the horrible roots that were glowing and then straightens said hair for the first time in eight months (during the summer when that hair will curl up immediately in the humidity) notice it.
3. If a new outfit is purchased, comment.
4. If any effort is made on the lady's part to look nice for you, compliment. Say "Wow you look pretty." And return the effort. Wear a nice shirt and pants not your gym shorts and a t-shirt.
5. This one might be the most important- If you are not going to be in town or have to work late on your anniversary day- send flowers or buy a card. Even if your wife says she doesn't want anything she wants you to acknowledge the day flowers or a card are the way to give that acknowledgement.
How did I spend my 5 year anniversary with Honeybun you ask? Well, let's see the day of our anniversary I had a hot date with the Little Man. We went to dinner, shared some ice cream and I played a softball game after he went to bed. Yep, doesn't get much more exciting than that.

Welcome back, Emily Jo. Sounds a lot like my birthday. High hopes for the anniversary this week, but um I will keep you posted....
Perhaps someone should email this blog to Matthew?
