As most of you know I suffer from a common condition known as "Road Rage." This condition presents itself mostly driving to work in the mornings, driving home from work in the evenings and any driving that is completed on the weekends and holidays. In order to alleviate my symptoms and make travel easier, I have a list of driving guidelines we should all abide by.
1. If you are traveling on Scottsville Road through Greenwood High School traffic between 7:00 am and 7:30 pm Monday thru Friday please use the right lane. If you are attending, working at, visiting or dropping kids off at the school, please use the left lane only.
2. Turn signals are our friends. Please use them freely. If you are like honeybun you use them on Plano Road going around the S-Curve.
3. People driving farm equipment and heavy machinery should avoid the afternoon and morning rush hours if at all possible. I know there is a song out there about the International Harvester and the "late for work road-rage jerks" lining up behind it like a "big parade." I understand farmers and machine operators need to get to and from their jobs just like the rest of us. Maybe we can all reach a compromise.
4. The speed limit on Scottsville Road is 45 mph. If you are unwilling to go 50 mph please use the right lane only. The rest of us would like to get to work on time.
5. Turning lanes are called turning lanes for a reason. You merge into them in order to turn therefore there is no need to slam on your brakes.
6. Intersections are to remain clear of backed-up traffic. Once you block the intersection, you become part of the problem and are therefore hated by everyone at the surrounding intersections.
7. If you are unable to multi task while driving, please refrain from carrying on a conversation or using a cell phone. The rest of us would greatly appreciate it.
8. Make-up should only be applied while stopped at a traffic light. If you choose to apply make-up while stopped at said traffic light, please don't be pissed off at the people behind you when they gently tap their horn to remind you of a green light.
9. Cruise Control should be used while driving on the interstate. If you do not have Cruise Control and are not an expert at driving at a consistent speed, please do not drive on the interstate.
10. Traffic accidents happen, I understand that, but in order to keep traffic from backing up, please do not gawk at the accident. Also, if you are in the lane that is clear of the accident, allow people who need to merge to do so. You can consider that your good deed for the day.

you do have some road rage problems... but i have to agree with you. people don't know how to drive and it drives me crazy too!!
